Or maybe you are a running back and forth shuttling everyone to Summer camps, meetings, and doing all the things Summer person.
Many people approach Summer with a mix of relief and some dread.
- What will the kids do with all of that time?
- How will you do everything the family wants to do and not go broke?
- How will you prepare for Fall while juggling business deadlines, keeping track of taxes, employees and customers?
Whichever category you fall into, YOU NEED TO KNOW that it really possible to enjoy Summer and be prepared for the Fall and everything it brings with it.
As we always say – we got you covered!
This month, we’re letting you now how you can save money and relax with 2 types of vacations this summer.
Many of our interesting clients, doing awesome things have recently expressed worry and even anxiety about all of the things they’re managing and trying to have a “relaxing” Summer.
If you are a parent or business owner you’ve got little people and big things to look after this Summer and no rest for the weary, it seems.
YOU SHOULD CARE for two reasons –
- Everyone needs a break. A little time of rest and relaxation, making memories with the people you love and the things you care about.
- Knowing key financial-related dates and deadlines will alleviate anxiety you feel and allow you to take a break or some time off.
Like we said, we’ve got you covered on both fronts.
We’ll give you vacation ideas and the dates you need to keep in your calendar and off your mind.
You can do better with your money with these 2 vacations ideas:
- Go For It! – Go for the big vacation and treat yo’self!
This first one if our “Nike Vacation” – JUST DO IT! You’ve stuck to the financial plan we helped you create, saved throughout the year and now it’s time to JUST DO IT!
Do it: Do camping, glamping, RVing. Head East. West. To Disney. Paris. Milan.
Dust off the bucket list, get your passport, TSA Pre-check and JUST DO IT.
If you want to go big on a budget check out Groupon deals, Booking.com, or go through the “new” old school travel agent for the best deals.
Remember, we know you and we know you work hard and deserve some time away, so JUST DO IT!
2. Hakuna Matata – It means “no worries”.
This one is the cousin of the “Just Do It” trip. Hakuna Matata is the chill down time, day trip vacation you’ve always dreamed of but haven’t given yourself permission to do.
The kids need down time and you used up a chunk of vacation days on Aunt Barb’s 4th wedding in Las Vegas.
Hakuna Matata means no airplanes, no big plans, no pitching tents on the side of a mountain or learning the word for bathroom in Italian.
These are just day trips to somewhere close by that you’ve always wanted to visit. You get to play tourist in your own backyard, fanny pack optional. This can be on a weekend or you can use a vacation day during the week to avoid the weekend crowds.
Each state has its own unique and fun things to see, peruse, and drink in. Condé Nast Traveler’s Best Places To Visit in the USA: 50 States, 50 Trips is a great place to start.
Bonus parent point? Have each member of your family or friend circle pick one day trip they would enjoy. Go ahead and mark the best days for each trip on the calendar ahead of time and enjoy the variety of fun things to do!
